Welcome to my online presence
My name is Nikolai Roth and I currently live in Cologne. After 11 years in Hamburg I left the most beautiful town in Germany for my current project carsale24. This is an overview of my personal skills and of what I have done so far.
I am currently working as the CEO of carsale24, Germanys new way of selling used cars.
carsale24 offers its customers a fast, comfortable and safe way of selling their used car without any obligations. On the other hand carsale24 is an attractive platform for used car dealers to get vehicles from private persons with certified expert reports with very low charges.
In January 2010 I founded Carmio a price comparison website for carparts. My business partner and I sold the company in March 2011 to Geizkragen.de.
As well in 2010 I founded Seifengeschwister, an online shop for nurturing soaps, fragrances, bath bombs and oriental items from 1001 nights. The shop was launched in July 2010.
Before I worked as a freelancer in the area of online marketing, business development and sales. Especially in search engine marketing I got many jobs. Besides I support a few young start-ups as some sort of business angel.
Until April 2009 I worked with Zweitgeist GmbH in Hamburg and its product weblin. As VP Sales I was responsible for the worldwide sales and business development activities. I really liked this highly liable job.
Before Zweitgeist I worked for arvato mobile GmbH. arvato mobile has its roots in the start-up handy.de, which was founded in 1999 and bought by Bertelsmann in 2001. The worldwide acting company Bertelsmann changed the name from handy.de into arvato mobile and integrated it in the arvato group.
I joined handy.de in Sept. 2000 and quit in 2005 as the head of music. I took 10 month off for discovering Australia. After my return, I joined arvato mobile again as Director B2B. I was in charge of the worldwide non-operator business, e.g. record labels, hardware manufacturer etc.
In 1997, at the age of 18, I started my first own business. I sold mobile phones with and without contracts as well as mobile accessories. It was the early stage of mobile business when everyone slowly started to buy his/her first mobile phone.
As a participant of both start-up weekends (edelbild.de & indawo.de) in Hamburg it is still worth it to mention although none of them finally was continued and pushed to market.
Feel free to have a look at my curriculum vitae or the other companies I have/had a stake in. |
